Global Deliberations Collaborative Workshop

Join the Global Deliberations Collaborative (GDC), in partnership with the Indiana University East Asian Studies Center and University of Pittsburgh Asian Studies Center, for a professional development experience designed to help educators foster open-minded, informed, and engaged citizenship in an inclusive and diverse democracy. The program begins with a one-day, in-person workshop followed by a one-day online follow-up workshop and provides educators with tools for facilitating deliberation, examining multiple perspectives on East Asian social issues, and helping students critically analyze information and primary sources.

  • Participants will receive Global Deliberations 2.0 professional development materials, international case studies and classroom materials focused on East Asian topics, and a $100 stipend. Lunch will be provided to participants during the workshop.
