The presence of an international fleet in Boston Harbor, combined with the city's 250th-anniversary commemorations, makes this a rare opportunity. You are invited to join the tour for a day of historical discovery and professional collaboration.
In this engaging walking tour, led by Karl Neumann, you will explore Boston’s historic connections to the maritime world. This program focuses on the vital, yet often overlooked, personal, commercial and cultural ties between the colonies, the early American Republic, and Asia.
All participants will leave with: Teaching materials and primary source copies for classroom use. Actionable lesson ideas focused on early globalization and maritime history.
In-person walking tour of Boston. Program runs rain or shine. Limited to 12 in-service K-12 educators. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate family members or guests for this program.
