This seminar aims to provide K-12 teachers with valuable insights into Taiwan's rich history, culture, and geopolitical significance, helping educators bring this knowledge into their classrooms. Taiwan, officially known as the Republic of China (ROC), is a dynamic island nation off the southeastern coast of China with a population of over 23 million. Its rich history includes influences from indigenous cultures, Chinese settlers, Japanese colonial rule, and modern democracy. Taiwan is renowned for its technological advancements, strong economy, and diverse natural landscapes, including lush forests and rugged mountains.
