Teaching Democracy: Taiwan
A virtual two-hour workshop on democracy in Taiwan. The featured speaker will be Jonathan C.Y. Sun, Director General of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) Boston. Director Sun, who holds an M.A. in political science from Brown University, will discuss democracy in Taiwan and Taiwan’s place in international affairs. This will be followed by a discussion on implementing Taiwan in social studies classes. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for 2 contact hours and a list of suggested resources both for classroom use and personal study.
